Why Steam Showers Need a Different Enclosure
A standard open shower can leave one side open or stop short of the ceiling. A steam shower cannot. The enclosure has to contain the steam, which means full-height glass and a door that closes tightly.
What a Steam-Ready Glass Enclosure Includes
Full-Height Glass or a Transom Panel
Glass runs to the ceiling or is capped with a transom panel so steam does not escape over the top.
A Tight-Fitting Door and Panels
Door and panel edges need to fit snugly. That starts with accurate measuring of your finished shower.
Heavy Tempered Glass
We install 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch tempered safety glass that meets ANSI Z97.1 standards, in clear, low-iron, or frosted for privacy .
Coordinating with the Rest of Your Remodel
Glass is one piece of a steam shower build. The steam generator, waterproofing, and ceiling design belong to your builder, plumber, and tile setter. Steam showers are typically built with a sloped ceiling so condensation runs down the walls instead of dripping on you. Your builder confirms that design, and we build the glass to match your finished space.

FAQ
Steam Shower Enclosures FAQ
Can any shower be converted to a steam shower?
Not with glass alone. A steam shower needs the right waterproofing, ceiling, and steam generator, so talk to your builder first. Once the design is set, we build the glass to fit it.
Does a steam shower enclosure need to reach the ceiling?
The enclosure has to contain the steam, which usually means full-height glass or a transom panel at the top.
Can I use frosted glass in a steam shower?
Yes. Frosted glass is one of several options. See our glass and hardware page.
