Shower Glass Types

Clear Tempered Glass

The standard choice. It keeps the shower open and lets your tile show through.

Low-Iron Ultra-Clear Glass

Low-iron glass has less of the green tint you see on the edge of regular clear glass, so whites and light tile look truer.

Frosted Privacy Glass

Frosted glass blocks the view while still letting light through.

Rain Glass

Textured glass that obscures the view and adds a decorative look.

Patterned Decorative Glass

Patterned glass gives you a custom look when you want the enclosure to be a design feature.

Glass Thickness and Safety

We install 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch tempered safety glass that meets ANSI Z97.1 standards. Both are heavy, solid glass. The 1/2 inch option feels more substantial and is common on larger openings. We recommend thickness based on your layout during the estimate.

Hardware Finishes

Matte Black

A bold modern look that pairs well with black fixtures.

Brushed Nickel and Chrome

Two classic, versatile finishes that match most faucets and vanity hardware.

Brushed Brass and Oil-Rubbed Bronze

Warm finishes for traditional or transitional bathrooms.

FAQ

Glass and Hardware Options FAQ

  • What is low-iron glass?

Low-iron glass has less iron content than standard clear glass, which reduces the green tint and gives a clearer, more neutral look.

  • Can I mix hardware finishes in one bathroom?

Most people match the shower hardware to their faucet and vanity finish, but mixing can work on purpose. We can talk through it at the estimate.

  • Is 1/2 inch glass better than 3/8 inch?

Both are heavy tempered safety glass. The 1/2 inch option feels more substantial and is common on larger openings. We recommend one based on your layout.
